Profit in 2008
When the year rolls over it’s time for businesses to plan ahead for the year to come. Whether you’re an executive or business owner you have to put a profiting plan into play. Failure to plan can result in failure to increase profit or even failure to stay afloat.
In planning what to do with your business in ’08 set an agenda, a goal- clarify your mission. Specify your business’ industry/service, target your customers and define your profit and revenue goals for the year.
Target customers you can serve best and let them know what you can do for them. Send a clear message that’s not about you, but about them.
Invest. Determine what you are willing to invest financially towards making the New Year a success for you and your business. Don’t over or under invest. Be generous but not unrealistic.
Market. Put your business out there. Call your contacts and connections- network your way up. Online marketing is promising as well- create an electronic newsletter and keep your website updated. Figure out what works and what doesn’t so you don’t waste time and money on something that isn’t returning positive results.
The most important thing to remember is to plan. Be strategic and precise. Set goals for your business and put together a plan that you know will work.
